PhaseSpace was featured in the Best Practices Lab at the HP Press Event this past week at Raleigh Studios in LA. Demonstrations of the Impulse System and the Virtual Camera impressed over 160 reporters from around the world.

Two actors performed a scene that was captured in Autodesk MotionBuilder, mapped to genie and robot characters, and played back in real time. This was possible thanks to the powerful capabilities of the new HP Z800 computers. The Virtual Camera, an HP TouchSmart laptop with 6 LED sensors placed around the edges, was the highlight of the show. Using the Virtual Camera, the director is able to see a scene from any angle in real time, greatly cutting the cost of production.
